Fishing school
If you don't know anything about the boats, ocean or fishing, this is a unique opportunity to learn everything you ever wanted to know.
You will learn traditional methods of fishing by experienced tutors - Us
You will learn what is prova, krma, cima, timun. You will learn about fishing knots, hooks, fishing lines ....
You will learn how to use vrša, mreža, parangal. You will experience the charm and excitement of night fishing for trophy fish, or with pescafondo try to catch squids.
You will learn how to catch the needlefish - a living bait for bigger fish which you will use personally, and if the goddess Fortuna is fond of you, you will catch some really nice dinner.
If you don't have proper equipment, we will provide it for you, and anything you don't know, you will learn.
For experienced fishermen
If you are one, you will know how to appreciate all the riches of Mljet's undersea life.
We don't have a speedy boat, we don't have echosonder, nor modern equipment. What we do have is the tradition, love and passion for this noble sport.

This itinerary is made for summer, early august. It is a subject of change during the year depending of climate conditions, local weather and fish itself.

0300 | departure |
0400 | we have layed the parangal into the sea, and now we are on the right spot fishing with hooks and fishing line |
0700 - 0800 | we collect the parangal from the bottom, and raising and laying vršas |
0800 - 1100 | fishing with panula (trolling). During waiting for fish to bite and who is hungry may bite something for themselves. |
1100 - 1200 | done with panula and caught something for sure. We are going to pick up the nets layed the night before. |
1200 | pleased and tired, with many fish, we go home to escape the sun at its peek. |
1200 - 1600 | we lunch and take a mandatory nap |
1600 | once again ready for action we depart |
1700 - 2000 | we have already layed parangal and fishing nets. Now we fish with panula and religious ones pray |
2000 - 2100 | pick up parangal and go to the fishing spot |
2100 - 0300 | we fish with fishing line |
0300 - 0400 | THIS HOUR IS FOR FREE - On the way back home we enjoy the sunrise. |
Itinerary is optional and negotiable. It depends on time of the year and of course the weather. We are however sure that you will be pleased with fish caught and the whole adventure by itself. You will tell stories to your friends for a long time and we hope that you will come back for another adventure trip with them.
